Polymarket combo FAQ: are they a good deal, and what do they cost?

What Polymarket combos (parlays) cost, how they are priced, and how to tell a good quote from a bad one, with numbers from real combo trades.

Is there a Polymarket parlay calculator?

Yes. ComboCheck is a free Polymarket parlay (Combo) calculator: pick the legs, type the price Polymarket quoted you, and it shows the fair price, the taker fee, how far over fair you would pay, and a deal score against real combo trades. It never asks for a wallet, keys or funds; it only reads public data. It is at https://www.combocheck.xyz/polymarket-parlay-calculator.

Are Polymarket combos (parlays) a good deal?

Usually you pay somewhat more than fair, the legs' probabilities multiplied together. Today pre-game combo buyers paid a median 9% over fair. Over the last 7 days, 2-leg combos cost a median 5% over fair and combos of 7 or more legs 20% over fair. Each quote is different, so check yours before you accept it.

How does Polymarket price a combo?

You choose the legs and Polymarket asks market makers for a price (a request for quote). The price you are offered includes the makers' margin, and Polymarket adds a taker fee when you buy. ComboCheck compares that all-in price with the fair price: the legs' probabilities multiplied together.

What fee does Polymarket charge on combos?

The buyer of a combo pays a taker fee of 0.05 x p x (1 - p) per share, where p is the price per share. At a 20 cent combo that is 0.8 cents a share, about 4% of the stake.

Why do same-game combos cost more?

Legs from the same game are linked (a team that wins often covers the spread too), so the simple product of probabilities is not the true fair price, and makers price in that uncertainty. Today same-game combos cost a median 27% over fair, against 9% over fair for combos of legs from different games.

Do more legs mean a worse price?

Yes, on average. 2 legs: +5%. 3 legs: +7%. 4 legs: +8%. 5–6 legs: +11%. 7+ legs: +20%. These are median margins over fair for pre-game combos over the last 7 days.

What is the ComboCheck deal score?

A number from 0 to 100: the share of similar recent combo trades (same sport, number of legs and phase) that your price beats. 50 is a typical price; 80 or more is a great one.

How do I check a Polymarket combo quote?

Open ComboCheck, pick the same legs you picked on Polymarket, and type the price you were quoted in cents. It shows the fair price, the fee, your margin and the deal score.

Polymarket vs Kalshi vs Limitless: which is cheapest for a parlay?

It depends on the number of legs. Limitless sells parlays as packs at a flat 10% vig, which is about 11% over fair however many legs it holds. A Polymarket combo costs less than that on two or three legs and more from four up, because its margin grows with every leg. Kalshi sells no parlay at all, so the comparison there is leg by leg: ComboCheck prices your legs on Kalshi and multiplies them into a second fair price. How do I find a game that all three venues price?

Use the Listed on filter on the left of Place a Combo. Polymarket is every market on the board, since it is the only one of the three that sells combos; pick Kalshi, Limitless, or both, and the board keeps only the games those venues list as well. Picking both leaves the games all three price, which are the ones where a quote can be checked against two other books rather than one.

Is a Polymarket combo cheaper than a sportsbook parlay?

Sometimes. On two legs from different games the cheapest US sportsbooks charge about 5% over their own fair price and the big retail apps about 10%, while a Polymarket combo costs the margin over fair in your quote plus a taker fee of 0.05 x price x (1 - price) per share. Polymarket wins when the quote is within roughly 4% of fair. The worked comparison, with nine books priced on the same two legs, is at combocheck.xyz/polymarket-vs-sportsbook-parlays.

Can ComboCheck fetch a Polymarket combo price for me?

Yes. With two or more legs in the slip, Fetch quote asks Polymarket's own quote gateway what the combo costs right now for a $10 buy, fills the price in, and checks it. It is a real quote from Polymarket's market makers, and ComboCheck never accepts it, so nothing is bought and no wallet is needed. A quote moves with the market and with the size you ask for, so the one you are shown on Polymarket may differ.

Is ComboCheck affiliated with Polymarket?

No. ComboCheck is an independent, free tool, not run or endorsed by Polymarket. It reads public data only: Polymarket's market listings and prices, and combo trades on the Polygon blockchain, and never shows wallet addresses. Its links to Polymarket carry ComboCheck's referral code, which costs you nothing.
